Tanzania Safari Packing List: Planning what to wear and bring on your Tanzania safari is not complicated. We would like to ask you to pack lightly. Really think about what you need and leave the less important things at home.
Baggage should be of the round squashy type rather than hard suitcases that are difficult to fit into jeeps. Try to use something lockable and waterproof as luggage. To assist with shopping and packing, please request a printable checklist from us and mark it off. It will be an essential part of your preparation. Here are some things you need to know about the Safari Packing list:

Yellow fever certificate
Airline tickets
Medical insurance card
Maps, guidebooks
Make copies of passport, Tanzania Visa, Airline tickets, Travel itinerary, Travel insurance, Traveler’s cheque numbers, and emergency contact information. Leave a copy with someone at home and put a copy in a separate place in your luggage.
Clothing
Your clothing should be lightweight, breathable, hand-washable, and quick-drying.
Shorts, mid-thigh or longer
Long pants (zip-off pants are very useful) Lightweight and breathable
Short-sleeved shirts, cool and breathable
Long-sleeved shirts or sweater for evenings
Enough socks for all tours.
Sports bras for women.
Rain jacket and pants or rain poncho
Sun hat with brim and chin strap
Swimsuit (and cover-up for women)

Baggage
Waterproof large duffel bag for storing clothing and gear (Ziplocs work)
Day pack for daily activities and easy access (rain cover is nice)
Money belt, security pouch, document organizer
Sleeping pad and repair kit
Sleeping bag for those using Camping.
Footwear
Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes, closed-toe, preferably waterproof
Tennis shoes, sandals, dressy shoes, and/or flip flops
Comfortable, breathable socks
Beach
Swimsuit and cover-up
Beach sandals
Reef shoes (for sharp rocks and coral)
SCUBA/snorkel equipment (mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit)
Underwater camera (optional)

You really only need one first aid kit in your travel group, so coordinate with your travel companions.
